Coronavirus is on everybody’s mind these days, but this special coating might just keep it off your hands.

Everywhere you go, there are high-touch surfaces, making the fight against infectious disease that much harder. That’s why QHF developed Q-Coat AMC, available as a paint additive and clear coat.

With the pandemic dragging on, and more places reopening, it's crucial to use every tool we have to fight the spread of coronavirus.

Think of museum exhibit signs, braille signs, and handrails.

What do all these have in common?

They're all high-touch surfaces! High-touch surfaces like the above are a significant potential vector for the spread of disease. With Q-Coat AMC, you can help kill germs, even between cleanings.

With people and businesses focusing more on safety and sanitation than ever before, offering Q-Coat AMC on your signs can make the difference you need to close a deal.

What is Q-Coat AMC?

Q-COAT AntiMicrobial Coatings are a series of versatile high-performance coatings for metals, plastics and many other substrates, formulated with silver ions, a time-tested antimicrobial agent. Silver ions work by disrupting DNA and ultimately ripping microbes apart, adding a powerful tool to the disease fighting arsenal.

Because silver ions are antimicrobial (as opposed to antibacterial,) they are not limited to killing bacteria, rather they work against a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses. This means that the silver ion technology is also useful for destructive mold prevention.

Unlike “post applied” disinfectants, Q-Coat AMC's active agent is interspersed throughout the coating, so as long as the coating remains, microbes will not be able to thrive on the coated surface.

Like most QHF products, Q-Coat Antimicrobial Coatings are made with low VOC high performances resins, are low in HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants) and the paints are formulated with UV resistant non-fading pigments, providing a highly durable, eco-friendly coating guaranteed to stand up to extreme conditions.
