Glen Raven will now cover labor costs for all Sunbrella Fabrics.

Glen Raven, the parent company for Sunbrella Fabrics, a popular brand among commercial and retractable awnings, has announced a change to Sunbrella fabrics warranty effective as of January 1, 2021.

Until now the warranty covered costs related to replacement fabric in the event of loss of color or loss of strength from normal usage and exposure conditions, including sunlight, mildew and atmospheric chemicals, but the cost of labor fell on the installers.

Now, living up to their claim of having the "most comprehensive warranty in the industry", Glen Raven will arrange to pay for replacement labor costs of any installations or fabrications of up to $65 USD per linear yard for Sunbrella Specialty, Shade and Marine Fabrics, and up to $40 for Upholstery and Horizon fabrics.

This new change applies to all categories, including residential and commercial Upholstery, Specialty, Shade, Marine and Horizon Fabrics.

Sunbrella's Shade and Marine awning material carry a 10-year limited warranty with labor costs covered for the first five years and a five-year limited warranty for upholstery fabrics that now includes labor coverage for the first three years in addition to fabric replacement.

This comes as an effort to ensure partner and end-user satisfaction.

Sunbrella prides itself on being the only performance fabric brand to guarantee against loss of color and strength, plus pilling and abrasion.

This gives our partners and end users even more confidence to purchase and apply Sunbrella fabrics to sofas, casual furniture, awnings or boats knowing that Sunbrella stands behind its products and its customers.

“For 60 years, Sunbrella fabrics have set the standard for industry-leading performance with fabrics designed for countless applications,” said Dave Swers, president of Glen Raven Custom Fabrics. “Our proven expertise and proprietary technologies allow us to demonstrate our commitment to quality by expanding our industry-leading guarantee and support to collectively benefit our retailers, manufacturers, fabricators and consumers. This gives our partners and end users even more confidence to purchase and apply Sunbrella fabrics to sofas, casual furniture, awnings or boats knowing that Sunbrella stands behind its products and its customers.”
